The program encourages “for youth by youth” activities in the community drawing on the power of young people to reach out to their less active peers, to develop their leadership skills within, and to break down the barriers to active living that many young people encounter. Activity Programs 

 

A New Dynamic Sport 

 
The sport is evolving rapidly in the North in many communities . Through 40 monts of community development, 24 weeks of community based activities, 22 instructors trainned, 850 plus initated to the sport in 12 communities the bases is getting there for the sport to develop.
 
Last year 15 participants from 9 communities participated to this 4 day race program (Triangle race, long distance, speed runs).  The event is praised by every participants, It is a unique occasion for them to  share their passion with people from other communities, ride with them and develop new friendship,  race against them and develop their competitive spirit. It is also a unique occasion to witness the evolution of northern rider’ skills, give special training clinics, and reach out to host community residents.

Program objectives

To provide a new dynamic outdoor activity for teens and kids of all ages.
To build expertise, leadership & ownership within youth groups and communities
To support the development of a new sport as well as new local eco-tourism activities.
To raise awareness about the Global warming inpact on Arctic’s environment and people, as well as renewable energy alternatives.
 

Our Mission:

To promote physical activity and create new opportunities for the youth of the Northern communities through a sustainable development approach, motivate the entrepreneurship of local individuals who can have a positive influence amongst their pears, and play and active role in local economic development.
 

Our Vision:

We hope that this modern outdoor adrenaline driven activity, in symbiosis with arctic environment and culture, will reach a growing number of youth and have a positive effect on their health, mind and soul.
Emerging leaders, and athletes that get involved locally or regionally have the potential to positively influence their peers and to contribute to open their community and region to the world.
