The winter-spring season ended on a great note for the Kunoki Team with our visit in Kangiqsujuaq. Although the stormy weather of the
weeks proceeding led to uneven wind conditions, the Kunoki team managed to train close to 80 residents in
this small but energetic community of Nunavik.
From a slow start-up in the fog, the wind picked-up a little, enough for local kids to get a taste of the
sport and feel the pull from the paraski sail. With the support and participation of the local authorities school director and teachers,
initiations clinics were scheduled for most classes.
Smaller groups enabled kids to receive more attention. The result showed up rapidity in the progress the
kids did on the ice.
