Kangirsuk; a paraskier paradise
Kangirsuk presents an exceptional landscape that provides various riding conditions. Discover the Payne river, 5 km wide flat highway, and follow freshly trained local instructors crossing the frozen river for the first time to discovering a unique snow park. On a plateau, in 8 inches of fresh powder snow, we really enjoyed the solid 40 km inland (west) wind who provided us enough power to rapidly cross the plateau and climb the surrounding hills, some steep enough to provide interesting downhill skiing.
We also bring you in-town where a natural bowl captures the mountain top wind for a thrilling ride, just off he airport road. The newly trained instructors also get to ride in formation on nearby Post Lake. Riders: Minnie Annahatak, Etua Nassaq, William Nungak, Alec Kudluk, Yusipie Annahatak, Laura and 2006 Kunoki team; Mark Henry, Benoit Havard and Guy Laflamme. Play video
